Does anyone know where I can purchase two black, 32 hole 650b Blunts(newer version with small sticker)? I ordered most of my wheel kit from my lbs and ordered the Blunts from a large online store that "had them in stock". A week later they e-mailed me and said they cannot get them. My lbs has my Hadleys and Wolverines but now I have no rims. Velocity says it will be late August for a new shipment.

Thanks

Have to build it up, but they do have rims available..the new black kind with the small sticker (doesn't say VELOCITY across the rim):

They did an "ok" job lacing it up. I found it to be just slightly out of true (that or it's my disc brake - still trying to figure it out)
I called Speedgoat yesterday and they do not have them.

Thanks everybody but I just gave up! Called all of the above and more, nothing. Even emailed overseas, nada. I had other things with the order and they were going to hold it up for six to eight weeks. I bought the WTB Laserdisc trails. A little heavier then I wanted and I hope I can get them to run Gorilla tape tubeless with the WTB Wolverines.

Finally found one black 32 hole Blunt on the east coast and one on the west coast. They are on there way to me in the midwest. Once built up I will be taking a long trek out west looking for a place to relocate( I sold my house and work from home). Looking at Colorado, Idaho or Oregon(Bend or Ashland).

Here they are!

Here are a few pics of the wheels. I really have to thank my lbs ,Pedal and Spoke Ltd. of North Aurora,IL for all the help and the quick build once all the parts arrived. A great family run shop I have been going to for ten plus years. The owners son Ashton has become quite the wrench (even welds up custom frames). He has been maintaining my other wheelsets and bikes for years and he built this set for me. Chad helped with the parts pick. Thanks guys! Okay, sorry for the long shout out, but this shop deserves it. A bunch of us go there.
The wheels, blue ano Hadley hubs, 15mm front, 10mm thru bolt rear, black DT Swiss competition spokes, silver brass nipples, black Velocity Blunt 650b rims. Did a gorilla tape tubeless conversion, once around with 21mm wide, then once around with 1" (25.4mm) wide tape. I was purposely trying to build an inner lip to hold bead firmer. Stan's Olympic valve stem and sealant. WTB 650b 2.2 Wolverines. Tires went on very easy with just a little soap and water by hand, no levers. Used an air compresor to bead up the tires, very easy, then broke one side of bead and opened by hand, 1.5 scoops of Stan's sealant, aired them up and so far so good. Seems like a very solid seal. After I get out for a few good 3-4 hour rides with these on the Mojo SL, I will report.

Crud!

I was worried about this. The WTB 650b Wolverine is a very volumus tire (I have the 26" version also). It does not clear the Mojo SL rear. Now what do I do? Derby , chime in on this one please. Should I try the Neo-Moto 2.35 or 2.1?

Just to explain my choice of the WTB 650b Wolverine's which I thought might be to big. I have been running the 26" version for some time now a really liked them. I wanted to do a real world comparison with the same tire swapping out wheel size (ie. 26" to 27.5") and compare. Apples to apples so to speak. I will try both the 2.3 and 2.1 Neo-Moto, they sound like great tires.
