hi
I have an uzzi too and I am 6'3 as well (190 cm). My weight is 225 LBS and I have to say I would prefer the top tube being 1 inch or at least half an inch longer cause riding it with an 50 mm stem is impossible, 70 mm stem is making the riding possible. possible but not optimal.
I ride with the uzzi up and down so you can make it but I would choose the new santa cruz nomad in xl if I would buy a new one cause this one has exactly 0,7 inch longer tob tube compared to the large uzzi. or the ibis mojo hd in xl!

riding the fox dhx air is also possible but only in the 6,5 inch setup cause otherwise you will have a lot of sag and I think all the new intense bikes with the 2 travel setups are working better in the lower travel setup. thats my point of view and I ride the tracer in xl, the uzzi in large and the 951 in large. it makes also more sense to me !

cheers

I'm 189cm and ride a size L Uzzi with a 70mm stem and a Thomson set back seatpost. I quite like the sizing. it's maybe a bit compact but in no way cramped, just like I think a bike like this should be.

Till now I've mainly been using it for trail riding, and it works very well. I can do several hour rides without problems. I do agree, 50mm stem would probably make it too short.

I`m 188cm and like Drop on a large with 70mm stem and crazy-wide 785mm bars. Feels beautifully roomy. Remember that torso/leg ratio is a crucial factor when considering frame size: two identical-height people may need different frame sizes. I`ve got short torso/long legs, and the Uzzi lets me sink my 410mm Thomson post low enough; the thing sticks up really high when I want full leg extension. The wide bars compensate for my rang-o-tang arms...

If you`re the long-torso type the tt might be short, but if you`re like me, and just 2cm taller, I doubt it would be a problem. I was able to test ride a large before I bought my frame, and that test cinched it for me. You should really test ride before buying a full build like that!

Just a thought, but what about the T29?

the uzzi is not a pretty large bike in size large. but all the intense models are quite compact, maybe cause jeff prefers it compact?! in compare other frame builders like yeti for example are making their medium ranges as big as intense their Large range! and yeti has for really tall guys also the xl line which is really large!!!!
one friend of mine is 6,5 and he had only a chance getting the yeti 575 in xl. otherwise all the other frames would be too small.

so I think getting a 750-770 bar would be perfect but a seatback seatpost is not very good cause the weight would swap too much on the rear wheel when pedalling uphills and you would feel that the front wheel is coming up all the time!

better picking a 70 mm stem, 770 bars , normal seatpost and thats good.
