Can the SRAM X-Gen front derailer be used on the 6.6?
I know that this derailer was having difficulty with Vp-Frees and/or Nomads.

No you need to use an Xt or XTR non traditional. The sram front derailleur is tradional, this style front derailleur does not clear the swing arm on the Intense bikes.slayer2003 said:Can the SRAM X-Gen front derailer be used on the 6.6?

What do you mean by:Xt or XTR non traditional? Do you mean an older XT/XTR won't work? Could you explain in more detail.tmoney said:No you need to use an Xt or XTR non traditional. The sram front derailleur is tradional, this style front derailleur does not clear the swing arm on the Intense bikes.

I think tmoney meant that you need a top swing derailleur like this one:Cowboy-jeff said:What do you mean by:Xt or XTR non traditional? Do you mean an older XT/XTR won't work? Could you explain in more detail.
on all frame sizes?Dogboy said:No problem with a newer wide-link derailleur on the 6.6-I'm running an XTR on mine.
On a medium. However, is there any reason for variation on that section of the frame between sizes?peachy-B said:on all frame sizes?

The 6.6, in my experience, doesn't have the issues the VPX has-namely front derailleur and seatpost insertion.peachy-B said:i think so. it has on the VPX.
Just some caution that's all.
