Hi mtbr,

I am in the process of installing a 150mm air shaft on my 2017 Rockshox Revelation RL solo air. I read on the manual that the uppers use 5wt, and the lowers use 5wt. My stupidity didn't look at the lowers part, which is what I am focusing on, and just bought a jug of 15wt from Jenson. My question is can I use the 5wt even though the lower say 15wt? Just swapping air shafts

Not sure what you actually bought after reading your post. You might want to edit it.

Oil in the lowers is just for lubrication. 15 probably clings better and might slide better but you won't actually damage anything by using something thinner.

You probably shouldn't use 15 in the damper if they specify 5 as oil weight can make a big difference with some dampers. I doubt you'd actually break anything but it could make it very slow and harsh.
