I have been doing Z-1 oil changes for years.
I want to change the oil for the first time in an 05 Reba that I bought this past July. The manual downloaded from the SRAM site calls for 5wt and 15wt. Synthetic or fossil? the Peter Verdone site

Says RS uses Torco RFF.
Should I buy Torco 5 and 15 wts? Any online preferences?

Thanks for helping. I don't want to pour the wrong stuff in there.

I buy my Torco direct from Torco. I use exactly what the manual says for my 06 Boxxer, 5 & 15.

You really shouldn't need to change the damper fluid very often. I ran my Boxxer 6 months without changing the damper fluid and when I popped out the Moco cart the oil was still pristine.

Just a reminder, beware, the weight on the Torco bottle isn't the same as what RS uses. RS 15 = Torco 20, RS 5 = Torco 7.

thanks

The manual calls for 5 and 15 wt, I ordered 7 and 20wt. 21 bucks shipped for a liter of each. I wanted to be ready for when I open things up. Thanks for sharing.
