What about the manual couldn't you understand. Were you confused on terminology? The manual in my opinion was pretty easy to understand.

It'd also help to know what bike you're using it on and the specifics of your shock if you want tuning suggestions from someone with the same setup and riding style.

the manual is pretty broad in its recommendations based on rider weight... i have emailed tim flook for specific recommendations and he isnt the friendliest chap to deal with via email. i know he has been helpful in the past so maybe he is too busy.

even tft acknowledge the manual is confusing (http://www.tftunedshox.com/progressive/setuppdfs.htm) and developed their own)... but again, somewhat generic.

i ride aggressive trail/DH on a Bullit

Not sure what you mean, did you follow the settings and didn't like the results or do you not understand them? Did you really think tftuned is going to give you free advice other than what they provide on the website? Personally I'd set it up according to the SC recommendations and tweak from there, I don't think that anyone's recommendations are going to be spot on for you.
