Whats up fellas
Going through the paces spec'ing a long range commuter ebike and I am caught on the FDerailleur. I Want to run 36t-52t front chainrings, but don't really feel like spending extra $ to get a flat bar road front shifter or mount a downtube shifter on my handlebars.
Thumbies from Paul Component Engineering
Any ideas on how to get a mtb shifter to work with a road front derailleur?
Or how to get an MTB FDerailleur to work on a 52t chainring?
Is a '9speed' 2-speed front Tiagra shifter okay with a 10 speed drivetrain?
I will be running a MTB cassette and staying off the granny gears to keep my chainline as tight as possible, so 10 speed is ideal. But 9 speed is a possibility.
Any other ideas or criticisms on any of my ramblings?
Should I just break the bread, shut up and report back when its done?
