There is also a local 2019 fox 36 performance elite 150mm available locally. I’m not looking to goto 150mm but could change out the air shaft to 140mm for around 60$. Thanks
5010 V3 fork upgrade
Hey all,
I have a 2020 5010 alloy version “D” (base model). I’m looking to upgrade the Rock shox Recon RL 130mm front fork. I ride xc, and trail with large roots. I like to hop and jump anything in my path. Good linear compression adjustability is important. I’m thinking of bumping up to 140mm travel for local terrain as well. I’m currently looking at a few Pike (select & rl) models, and then multiple different models of fox..34/36 (rhythm & performance). Obviously looking for performance/value option, don’t need the best of the best for my skill level and local terrain. I have two local options of fox 34 performance and Pike select+ with 140mm travel that were both take offs and asking price very similar.

I got the Fox 34 performance with my bike. I did the air shaft upgrade to make it 140. I think it's a good fork for most of the conditions I ride. I can't say I feel any flex. I think if you don't really plan on twisting all the dials before each ride, the performance models are great.

How do you like the 140? I’ve been thinking about changing mine from 130 to 140.I got the Fox 34 performance with my bike. I did the air shaft upgrade to make it 140. I was even thinking of trying 150mm
I think it made it a little more versatile when I got into faster, rougher trails. I put the bike in the low position to help get the BB closer to where it was in high position before the change.How do you like the 140? I’ve been thinking about changing mine from 130 to 140.
