Never hit your thumb with a hammer, it hurts. Believe me, I speak from experience.

As far as the bike goes, I'm 5'-10" with a 34 3/4" inseam (go figure), I'm riding a large. It rocks.

I'm 6ft tall and have a 34 inseam. I ride a large spot and it fits me perfectly.

Other advice? Never ride your bike with your eyes closed.
