I am trying to determine what fork to put the new bike. Mav or the new Fox 36. I know the Fox its not available yet but it will be and I do have a month or two before I need a fork. I would run the fox in 5" travel for most trails, wind it down to 4" for long fire road type climbs and use 6" on the downhills. I have ridden around a little on other Talas forks and they feel pretty good to me. My old bike had a Z1 and my monkey is rigid.

Any thoughts on why I should go with one over the other?

Any Mav owners regret buying or have anything negative to say about the fork?

Would you buy another one?

Cheers fellas

No regrets what-so-ever with the Mav for me. I think its plusher than a Talas, which sounds like what the internals of the 36 are. Price-wise, I'm guessing they're gonna be pretty close when its all said and done. And if you don't have a 20mm wheel, you'll need a new wheel either way. So if I were buying a new fork in the next few months, I would still get the Mav. But that's just me. Its one awesome piece of hardware.

Thanks for the feedback. What do you weigh? I am 235 plus gear.
