I think you'll be okay. I run a Marathon 120 now and it's great.

However, I used to have a Z1 SL 130 and it was too tall. The front would "push" thru corners and just didn't feel that stable. Downhill was great, and I had no problems climbing, but I really had to watch the corners. Marzocchi forks are taller than most, so like a Fox 125/130 would probably be comparable to a Marathon and would work. Still, some of the Fox forks are internally (and externally(TALAS)) adjustable so you can tailor it to your frame if you need to. Most Marz aren't that way. If you can get a fork with that infinite travel adjust, you can modify it if it's feeling too tall. Then, if you get a different bike with more travel, you'll already have the fork!
