This is my brand new (only ridden it a few hours) 5.5. It's a large sky blue with a RP23 and monolink.

Oooh. And my first post after lurking here for over 6 months.
Is that a Pike or a Revelation fork?

Sweet looking ride.

Thanks.
Thats a Revelation 426 which is sligthly de-stickered ;) I could'nt stand all those stickers it came with.
The bike is quite frankly awesome. I'm have finally got a good set-up with the revs and the rp23 and it totally rocks both the climbs and descends.

I am ordering a Revelation 426 dual air.

I too can't stand some of the silly stickers, took all of them off my 29er Reba fork.

Any tips on setting up the Rev?

I've done 5 rides on this new beauty. Holy s#$#, if I only new how sweet a ride this was going to be, I would have bought one years ago. I am truly amazed how well this bike climbs. I am cranking about 2 to 3 gears higher than my previous bike ('00 Cannondale Jekyl 3000 SL).

This bike weighed in at 28.08LBS (I was hoping for 27, but saving up for some I9 wheel which should get me there). Now knowing how great this VPP bike climbs I really want a FRO Spider to race with. Damn that would be a fast bike for me. And of course I would need the new Intense carbon road bike to train on. Intense for Life.

hypergfx,

is that the 4mm or 7mm Ventana race for your CK headset?

I too am building up a med 5.5 with an 07 Talas RLC.

Now after spending some time to perftctly set up for myself, I'm a totally happy owner of the Intense 5.5, so I'm posting the photo here.

I'm waiting for my one piece upper link to come in, but it is working great even without it.

5point5 upgrades

A few weeks ago I replaced my Manipoo Nixon with the Fox Vanilla R 2007. It was like going from a rigid fork to a suspension fork, really! Anyway, I'm loving it. By the way, plenty of room for the knobs to clear the down tube. Also got rid of the Answer carbon bars (now I can sleep at night) and replaced it with an easton EA30. And let's not forget a Shimano LX front brake to match the rear. And there's more.....well only one more part:eek: , a Avid whatthefückthingofmajig. It makes the shifting a bit more smooth but it also get rid of that ugly big loop. That's all!

Nice bike :)

I have a Push upper link on my 5.5, and the effect is quite noticable.. smoother suspension action, and a stiffer more agile bike.
My mono upper link is arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to feel like how you felt.
