Do a seach in the Iron Horse forums. Some of us have dropped our platform shocks and the slower compression of the Fox shocks for full air. The DW link, when properly sagged, generates enough anti-squat that a platform is not needed.Pedal Bike said:
The air/air makes for one super plush ride. It also allows the linkage to compress easier over terrain when climbing (when chain forces have the rear "locked out").
Side benefits include, self service shocks and a wide tuning range (including air volume for changes in progression)
Our frames are different but the DW link and VPP link may be similar enough that you see the same benefits.
