Looking to get away from clippes for a while, the 5.10 impacts look too bulky. Would sole stiffness be an issue? I know they don't look waterproof, but there still is the stealth rubber... Hmm! ..Mainly ride trails, and a bit of all mountain..

Better to look at the Freerider, Basic, or Baron, that are designed for bike use

- Just saw the new Chris Akrigg video (A hill in Spain) and I believe he was wearing the 5.10. Chase shoes. If it works for him then they must be okay for MTB riding.

I just recently bought a pair of 5.10 impact 2 hitops.
I was afraid they were going to be too bulky, but after
the first ride I was impressed. They are comfortable
and didn't seem bulky at all. I do admit when I first tried
them on I was nervous. I like them better than the 5.10
freeride shoes I had before.

Anyone ever bike with the guide tennie? Are all of 5.10 shoes using the same rubber? Like the freerunner and outdoor lines versus the bike line?
