Who makes a 40 tooth ramped chainring in a 4 bolt 104 BCD

I know that Boone can make one for me ($$$), but is there anyone else? I looked in the QBP and J&B catalogs at my LBS and only ones listed were unramped DH rings. Is there such an animal? I did a search, but did not yield any real results.

I am looking at running a 40/32/24 cog set for the upcoming race season on my 29er. I ran a 42/32/22 last year, but think that I could spend a little more time in the big ring with a better chainline if I had a 40 tooth ring.

Will 39 and non-ramped do?
It shifts as well as any ramped one does, but that might be my gripshifters allowing that.

I had thought about using an unramped ring, but it seems that the "potential" shifting problems would negate any advantage of dropping from a 42 to a 40. As many of my riding buddies would tell you, especially in racing situations, I am not that merciful on my drivetrain.

Any other options out there?

I'm currently running a 28/40 on mine. 28 granny 40 middle and no big. I can ride in the 40 and sweep the cassette with no problems. Very smooth in big/big combo.

got the rings at xxcycle.com TA chinook rings. They are ramped and so far very durable. Hit them on some rocks a few times and did an 80mile marathon last week in wet/sandy conditions and saw virtually no wear. Slapped on a new chain after that with no problems.

Been riding them since october.

Salsa

In a 104 BCD salsa makes rings up to 48teeth. Ran those rings for years with no problems, plus one will only set you back about $30

The TA Specialities Chinook looks to be exactly what I was looking for. Are there any US distibutors for TA Specialties?
