The Rockies and the Southwest are experiencing stereotypical el nino weather patterns, which happens every 4 to 12 years. It's been awhile since we've experienced a strong el nino winter, so folks have forgotten what it's like. To listen to some folks you'd think the apocalypse was upon us. We're in for a wet winter. Don't know if you'll be flying into the EP area in March, but if you're driving through the area you just gotta adjust your route to go through Amarillo and take a half day or so to ride the trails at Palo Duro Canyon. Well worth it.

The course is entirely inside the state park and is accessible from the east side before and after park hours. Normally I go all the way down HWY 54 these days, so that would be a bit outta the way.
