I'm considering the 303R DH a a new DH bike. I heard this bike jumps better than any other DH bike around, but the one thing that worries me about this bike is the geometry. The mediums size has the top tube length I'm looking for, but I normally fit a large, and the large 303R DH has a rediculously long toptube. Does the design of the frame shrink the feel of the toptube, or is the large just designed for very very large people?

For what it's worth I am 6' tall and I ride a medium. It fits nice and I would probably go with the medium if I was up to 6'1" to 6'2". I do tend to like my bikes a little on the smaller size but it by no means feels cramped. How tall are you?

The TT measurements don't seem unusual to me. Most recently designed DH bikes have TT lengths from 23.0 - 23.5" for a medium and the again around 24.25 - 24.75 for a large. Don't overlook the wheelbase measurement. That will give you a better idea of how bike the bike will feel when standing, which is what's most important on a DH bike.

I'm the same hieght as you dawson, so medium must be the size for me (plus go-ride has mediums for cheap :p).
And I did a broader search and found DH'rs are just very big people. Thanks for the measurement advice, It will be my first DH bike and I've been buying my smaller travel bikes on TT length, because they seem to fit if it's around 590 mm. I have some more research to do, thanks a ton :D.
