3-weeks of ownership I just wanted to say I already wrecked two-times and it was for bad judgement on my part.
Of course 1st one knew about my 2nd jump and busted my helmet.

2nd accident happened on some new trails I never gone to. Coming down a switch back and side of a cliff that was protected by the rocks (keep in mind I never rode a trail that was on side of a cliff). My eyes kept veering off to the left of me looking at the rocks off the edge. Guess what happend? Yep; I hit the rock and flipped over. I was decending down a steep rocky hills also :nono: . I know, dummy me:madman: .

Bike was down the cliff, maybe 10' drop as I landed on my chest with rocks surround by me. Without any chest protection, my lowes camera which is strapped to my front camelbak clip probably protected me from hitting my chest on the boulders that I feel down on.
Yes my camera did survive ;).

Anyways, the bike still looks like new w/ some scuffs on the handle-grips & bars. That's about it. I decided to give it a good clean and it looks better the Pamela Anderson on a good day. Ok, maybe not that good, but bike still looks like new.

Anways enough of my BS and here's some more porn:

Yesterday:

Some where close to here is where I busted my a$$ pretty hard. Leg got all swell up, but still was able to finish up the ride. I did however took the day off from work to recover.

All cleaned up (today)

Oh forgot to mention this; about two weeks ago I notice my front skrewer kept coming loose and I called IBEX service. I told them about it and they sent me a new one for the replacement. A+ for the fast service and shipping.

very cool... at least you had some fun in the proccess right??? XD

Skin heals, no broken bones or parts... Soudns like you're good to go and do it again... XD
Hell yea!

One thing I notice after putting my bike in the house is that I measured my handle bars b/c recently I had them cut down to 25".

To find out, they cut them down to 24 1/8, then the bars are not even. So the LBS fu%kin cut them uneven and too-short. At at both times I wrecked, I pulled to the left. So.... I think I found my problem; Maybe?

But I am going to order some new HandleBars. Anyone a fan of the Easton Monkeybar?

pipecutters and a file works very well in handlebar cutting. Do it yourself and be done in 30 minutes... Never used Easton stuff before but they seem to make some sweet stuff... XD

hey

where at in SAT? My girlfriend just bought a condo by the medical center. I like to ride op schnabel. I'll be down there this weekend, but busy helping her move. I see myself spending a bit more time down there now that she is a condo and i can bring the dogs along. sneaking the dogs around in an apartment was a paint.

I live out 281 on the north side of S.A. I haven't riden OP yet, but from what I have heard it has great trails. I am new to mountain biking but loving it so far. I will be out of town the next couple of weekends, but after that I should be around. Let me know when you are going to be in town and we can go ride OP.
