I am having difficulty with using "standard" length presta vlave tubes with Mavic Speed City wheels due to thier tall profile. One of my floor pumps works pretty well but I struggle on trail to get air into the tubes with the short valves.

Is there a source for longer valve tubes?

I have valve extensions but they only work with removeable cores and I have yet to find 29er tubes with removeable cores. I have also found some Salsa tubes that go up to 44mm that have 40mm valves listed on Salsa's site.

I know there are others using tall profile rims out there. How do you deal with this issue?

The Bontrager standard 29", Lite and Slim'd tubes are 48mm valves.

Tubes w/ long valves are best, but for that time when you can't get one, a valve extender can come in mighty handy. Your LBS can order from QBP easily.
