I have been bitten by the SS bug hard. I converted my Giant Iguana to SS in November and have loved it. Now I would like to have a dedicated steel, fully rigid, SS rig with 29er wheels and disk brakes. I would like to build the bike up myself (just for the experience). What is a good relatively inexpensive 29er single speed disk compatible frame and fork? I would like to spend $300 or less on the frame and fork. Thanks.

Both the Redline and the Surley look good. I would be interested in buying used, but a quick look at eBay and the classifieds yielded little. Any other spots to look? Also, which of the two frames mentioned above is lighter. Weight isn't a huge deal, but it is always nice to know you don't have any extra weight up hear in the mountains.
