I have a set of TN Mavic 719s and I want a stiffer set of rims. Any suggestions on a brand and model?

What kind of riding do you do? How much do you weigh? Budget?

Off the top of my head, Salsa Semis will handle just about everything within reason you can throw at them, as will Stans Flows. Can't go wrong with either but they might be overkill. The stiffer "equivalent" to what you already have is the Stans Arch.

On a budget, the WTB Laserdisc Trail and Laserdisc FR are solid rims.

719's are pretty stiff, get a good wheel builder and redo those, or better yet some gordos or the hundreds of suggestions that will follow.

my taste has gone from rims like that to wider, and the wider the better if well manufactured and laced to a good hub

What are you going to do with the 719's, I will take them off your hands. Maybe even a wheel swap< I have Magura Pro (DT240's) laced to Arches>.

Some of the wheelbuilders on here can chime in but I thought that 719's were pretty tough rims.

Are these machine built or hand built? What exactly is your criteria?
