Just shot this earlier today at Sullivan Canyon. Riding my newer 29er MUni testing out the new wtb "dissent" 29x2.5 dh tire. This baby really grips and absorbs impact really well!

very cool! how often do you have to true that wheel?
After every ride if I do drops like that! It's a strong, double walled dh rim, but being larger than my usual 24" Muni, the 29er rim is just inherently weaker, no matter how well it's made.

But it held up much better with this new tire! It's only slightly tweaked, but I need it trued since I run magura rim brakes, and they are set really close to the rim walls. My local bike shop does it for me for free, and it takes them only 10 minutes, max!
