I'm looking for a chainguide for a 26-28t chainring.
I'm really not interested in the JumpStop despite how many people seem to swear by it.
E.13 previously sold a guide for their 26t cranks called the SST

https://www.e13components.com/product_sst.html

The downside to the SST is that I would be required to run BMX cranks(I do have some Profiles laying around but rather run my Raceface). The other downside is that the Turbocharger bashes are quite heavy.

Is anyone making any sort of compact guide with a lower roller/guide pulley to work with a 26-28t chainring on a 1x9/1x10 set up?

Blackspire Stinger guide and drill a new hole/slot to move the roller up. Use a Blackspire Granny God (covers up to a 28t) And you are either stuck with a Jump Stop up top, or modifying something else to work.

Like this.

Or use no bash and use something like the Paul's, e.13, or MRP upper guides paired with a modified Stinger down below.

28t mounted in the granny ring spot, or one of the new dual ring cranks only running one ring?

There really isn't much out there for less than 32t, other than what you can mod and come up with on your own. The SST as you posted is the only production thing like that I've ever seen. You may be able to get it to work with regular cranks, and the Blackspire bash combined with a 28t ring, but would surely have to play around with spacers at the guide and BB to get things lined up.

I was planning on not running a bashguard.
This is going to be set up on my Niner EMD, so 29" wheels and a 26/28t chainring should keep things tucked out of the way real well.

The e.13 XCX ST would work rather well with a modified stinger. I'll do some tinkering in the garage and see what I can't come up with.

If anyone has any other ideas, please post up!
