I know its MTB review, but is a 27" rim the same as 700mm, i know directly converted its not, but will the tires work? If not, whats a good source for 27x1.125 tires?

No, you can't use 27" tires on a 700C rim and vice versa. They're very close in size, but not close enough. You can swap 700C wheels and 27" wheels on some bikes, but the brake pads will require adjustment. Standard butyl innertubes can also be used with both diameters.

I don't know where to get 27x1.125's but you could put that dimension in a Google search and see what you get. A bike shop with a QBP catalog may be able to order some for you also. QBP has lots of stuff.
