Hi All,

I picked up a 2nd hand Rockhopper recently (UK Spec - see bottom of post for details) and was wondering how wide I could go on tyres?

Currently it has bald 26 x 2.1 on it but crashed twice recently so need to replace. I'm not overly bothered by width other than the fact that there aren't many choices at 2.1 wide hence wondering how much wider I could safely go?

Shoot that's a nice one! Can't give you exact numbers of what will fit your bike, but I've put 2.25" tires (knobbies and also slicks) easily on a 93 or 94 HardRock without trouble. I probably could fit bigger.
