It is interesting because the 26+ size has no real support other than the Surly Instigator. It would lower the BB on a fat bike a bunch, and probably would not fit well in most standard 27.5 frames. I wonder what the thinking is behind these?
I think we will see a lot more 26+ towards 2017 models. It would make a good enduro option and will be a ble to fit on a few 27.5 bikes now and future bike frames as manufacturers realize they can sell a bike with plus v normal options. I have a Turner RFX on order and from talking to the sales rep, it should be able to handle these tires. 26 plus should even be easier to swap in and maintain geometries in a 27.5 better than a 27.5 plus in a 29. Turner bikes have already been playing around with 26+ on a few of their current 27.5 models
I'm thinking that if 29" wheels were too big for some people, people are realizing that the same is true of 27.5+, so they're coming out with the plus equivalent of 650B, though there isn't really an equivalent for 26".
