Can every dealer in the country get this for their customers? Thanks...
Yep, they're not - it says right on their specials page, "Previous sales excluded."bad andy said:D'oh - bought my stumpy in April - any info on whether they're doing retro-active support?
my rep said its on parts and accessories....as for a shock like that, i don't know. but i think its what the dealer has in sock.skiahh said:Can you get an AFR shock/brain with this?
For example, if I got a Stumpy Expert and a Safire Comp and wanted to upgrade the Safire to the AFR shock with my $500, could I put that towards the AFR?
How much IS an AFR set up, anyway?
Called my shop today, and he said he'd talk to his manager. He did say he thought they could help me out though, which is really cool. This would be the kind of thing that would make you give the extra effort to refer them to your buddies.bad andy said:hmmm... after 11 days only - I'd go to the shop and see what they might do for you.
In my case, April, I think I'm outta luck - I guess I'm not riding that deviant this summer
i talked to my LBS about doing the same thing, you gotta buy it from the spech warranty dept. even then they said it could be anywhere from 500-1000 dollars american.skiahh said:Can you get an AFR shock/brain with this?

Yeah, that and the fact that the Comps don't have the grommet for the Brain Fade, so you'd have to either get a new rear triangle or have someone weld it on... and kiss the warranty good bye.Linga115 said:i talked to my LBS about doing the same thing, you gotta buy it from the spech warranty dept. even then they said it could be anywhere from 500-1000 dollars american.
