Any advice for singlespeed gearing for a 26er at 24 Hours of Old Pueblo?

I've heard it is a pretty fast course. Is 2:1 or even harder a good idea for someone in pretty good condition? I'll be on a 5 person team so not so many laps that I have to conserve energy.

if you are fit 2:1 on a 5 man will be cake. If you are running a suspension fork you could easily get away with a 34x16.

I ran full rigid at 34x17 and 34x18 at night due to the ***** descents requiring me to ride slower to avoid the rocks that a suspension fork would absorb.

i agree. On a 5 person that will be pretty spot on (2:1 or greater)
i run 37:17 solo, it is a test of patience for the first 12 hrs, especially on the fire road after the *****es, but it seems to be just right for the last 12 hrs
