Need riders

We have one co-ed team in place but need at least 3 guys and a gal to form another. Otherwise we'll mix it up in duos, etc.. Post if interested in joining, or if your team needs a rider or two.

We are pooling resources with several other teams so we have a dry and well-stocked campsite and repair area.

We have two 5 person co-ed teams forming. We will set up camp with several other teams to our pool resources. We're there to have fun and ride hard...one team more so than the other. We currently are looking for 3 guys and a gal. If interested PM me, no obligation until we send in registration. Thanks!

Only 2 people that were on our 4 man team last year are committed to doing it again. If the others don't decide soon we may need 2 more people, or we could join someone else's team.

We wouldn't mind being on a 5 person co-ed team either...but the only female rider we know is not riding, she's supporting Itty Bitty Jen again this year.

We're just average/below average riders. Probably only do 4 laps each max, about 1:15-1:30 lap times. Just doing it for fun mostly.

I have a team of three so far and looking for a fourth. We are just looking to have a good time and do the best we can (no pressure to win or anything). I have only ridden in one 24hr before last year in Payson, nobody else has any race experience.

Anyone know how the course compares to Payson?

We could definately merge teams based in your description Richard. Our other team might have more of a competitive spirit...or not. It's all about having fun and surviving.

If the co-ed roster doesn't work out after this Christmas weekend we will probably proceed as a 4 man or Duo.

Oh yes - solo here!

I registered a while back, and have been suffering in our arctic-like northern NM weather trying to lay a base down... though it seems to be letting up the last day or two. If the weather even hints at being 1/10th as crappy as last year - I'll be available to man the kegs, cook breakfast/lunch/dinner, clean bikes under cover of structure(s), and generally support/harrass anyone who is nutty enough to try that nonsense again!

From the trails I've ridden in Payson there are not as many climbs, so you should be fine. Checkout the course on epicrides dot com. It is approx 15 miles and basically involves climbing at the beginning and end (the "Seven B_itches" are at the beginning of the course).

I think you'll find this one a lot more fun to ride than Payson. It's not exactly 15 miles of heavenly singletrack, but it's also not nearly as brutal as the rocky and mentally demanding Payson course. There are several sections at Old Pueblo where you can just let it go and enjoy the ride.

I would describe the 24 HOP course as non-technical with minimal climbing. Perfect for single speeds. The 7 *****es, and a few other spots, will put the burn in the legs, but its basically an "easy" course.

If this is elitist, than I give up and will accept that label.

Of course, if you are riding to win, it should cause considerable pain.

One of our 2 holdouts committed today, so we're only short 1 man now.
