I am putting a new hardtail together and unfortunately the steer tube on my existing fork is too short. I am a big guy, and I have been using 20mm forks for a while and like the way they feel. This bike will be for trails and for a little urban and park riding at our local indoor joint (plug - www.raysmtb.com) in the winter. I don't really do anything that's real big, maybe 4ft drop to tranny and some box jumps and tables, no huge air really. Since I have to get a new fork, I was questionning the need for a thru axle fork???? It would really open up some other options if I just went QR.
