Just testing the waters to see how many folks would be interested in buying a 20mm dropout kit like this, minus the Marzocchi axle.

It's designed for this Marzocchi axle but others may work (see drawing). The idea is that you braze/weld the dropouts on and then cut out the middle at the scored points. The center is also marked for fixturing (you can drill your own hole to accomodate your fixture).

Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll start production.

Thanks, Joel

P.S. The drawing shows the "lips" at 1mm wide, they will actually be 2mm wide.

Can't see us doing a thru-axle rigid fork.

Some minimalist Maxle rear dropouts in steel on the otherhand....

If one were to do a rigid thru axle I would think they would most likely want the maxle system. Mostly because it is tool-less. The design of Maxle seems pretty well though out, although there may be some copyright issues with reproducing the drops...

I originally did it this way when I didn't have a fork jig and it worked well. I also like to braze the dropouts on first and then the pinch bolts and make my cut. I'd have to do this the other way around with a dummy axle. The extra certainty of alignement is worth the dollar or so in drop.
