New Oiz is out: Oiz
Same frame but new configurations and many parts with Orbea name.
I hope there will be some information about wheels: Orbea OC3 Carbon 30c

The thing that stands out to me is that all the bikes are specced with a Fox 34 Stepcast fork (34mm diameter stanchions) instead of the Fox 32 Stepcast from previous years. The Fox 34 Stepcast fork is the 100mm travel version on the Oiz XC and 120mm travel version Oiz TR.

The Orbea Oiz M11-AXS looks like quite a nice bike for the money with an OMR carbon frame, Fox 34 Stepcast performance fork which says it has a 3 position lockout, SRAM GX AXS electronic drivetrain, Shimano Deore XT M8100 brakes and a DT Swiss X-1900 Spline 25c TLR wheelset. £4,699 GBP / 4,699 euro / $5,199 USD

OIZ M11-AXS

The actual availability looks a bit questionable though. There are no delivery dates when clicking buy, only an option to enquire with a bike shop.
The MPro TR gets carbon wheels. Seems like a great value considereing it's only a couple hundred more than the 2021 MPro TR with Aluminum wheels.
Any guesses on who makes that wheelset? Happy to see the carbon wheels, sad to lose the DT Swiss.
Actually, they are coming with xrc1501, probabily the new wheelset is not yet available
So any model that is supposed to have the new orbea carbon wheels are coming with xrc1501? Is that actually confirmed? Wondering where that information came from.

It should be temporary, i have seen on a friend's M PRO TR 2022, and searching on facebook found another bike with this spec.

Apart of this, such a great bike, probabily one of the best quality/price relation on market.

Personally I don't care about wheels - I will sell the originals anyway. Both DT Swiss and Orbea are probably around 1500gr.
1300gr 30mm Duke or Newmen wheelset is much better deal for XC race bike.

Otherwise very nice bike and also much cheaper than canyon or any other brand if you consider pre-order discounts.

But they should update/fix geometry - 425mm reach for size M is really poor - especially when Lux trail has 460 - 3,5cm is quite a big difference.

XRC1501 are aroung 1560g, so the Duke or Newmen wheelset will be a huge upgrade

I don't understand. If you need a longer reach wouldn't you just buy the next size up?
I wonder how they are dealing with the fox remote change at least on the 32’s. New fox forks are push to lock (32’s at least). I have a 2021 Oiz TR that’s push to unlock. I emailed them and they have no plans to change the rear to push to lock. I guess maybe that’s why they are all 34’s? Makes it difficult to buy a frame only and match the fork to shock. I was hoping to get a second in the 100/100 in the future.
Since I've ordered an m-pro TR and got my order confirmed as late as 19 October, the info here regarding the OC wheelset is very intriguing.
It's confirmed that I'm getting the new 2022 fox 34 stepcast with the weight savings and other improvements. What about the wheels then?

I've asked my dealer and the orbea customer service and this is the info I've found out so far.

Orbea is betting hard on the OC wheelset that is built in a new factory by Orbea in Spain in 2021. They're trying their best to push out the wheelset for 2022's lineup.

This is what Orbeas customer service has to say:

"Dear Tommy,

At this moment, the only information I may confirm is that the model online that are shipped with OC carbon wheels (XC Team) are:
OIZ M TEAM TR, OIZ M PRO TR, OIZ M PRO, OIZ M10 TR

Warm regards"

I asked if my bike has any chance of getting them and this is their answer :

"Dear Tommy,

This model indeed comes with the OC XC Team wheels."

So I guess I'll have to wait untill it shows up :)

You can have mine if you want :) Beacuse I doubt they weigh 1300gr.
But let's see when our m-team tr arrives.

Weight isn't the only advantage of carbon wheels, but yeah I understand what you mean ;). Personally I'd rather have a alu wheelset for ruffer rides that I can abuse and then a lighter carbon set for faster days.
Here's more info on the wheels: https://www.orbea.com/content/OC_WHEELS_BLUEPAPAPER.pdf (page 15)

Apparently 1536g without tubeless tape.

Thx for sharing!

Sad that they're only recommended for drops/jumps no higher than 24in/61cm but still better than 1900-2000g standard wheels.

That's just standard legalese mumbo-jumbo. I wouldn't be to worried about it (especially if you run inserts).

Got my M-Pro TR today in Raw carbon and red Orbea loggo to fit in with my other Orbea bikes. XTR brakes, AXS group, Duke Wheelset, Innolite saddle and bar at home and ordered a Fox Transfer SL 2022 today. Hope it will come in sub 10kg ready to race.

Nice! Going with raw carbon here as well.

How long did you wait from confirmed order to delivery?

It looks as if you're bike came with the OC XC Team wheels?
Placed order mid october and was told delivery late november. Was expecting it to show up feb/march 😅 Yes it came with the OC XC Team wheels.
The dealer told me not to do any changes on the specs of the brakes and seatpost because then the order would take much longer. Bought it at Älvängens Cykel, think they have a size M Raw carbon for sale in store.
Where did you order yours and any changes?

@martinaasa you bought one to and Going to Beskidy stage race 2022? :D
