Seems like live valve is holding the bike back, wish they had a review of one without live valve.
Same thing happened with the Trance X 29 last year. Live Valve seems like it's to XC for trail bikes and to heavy for XC bikes.
Burly as it is, IMO it's not worth the upgrade, this bike should be 130/140.

I guess my 29 Trance will be fine for another few years.

I have a Trance 29 and a Trance X 29. I enjoy the steeper seat tube on the X, and would like the same on the Trance. The X climbs really well IMO, but the X is too big to use for endurance events and racing, but the Trance is good. IMO 140 fork would take the Trance into territory that the X handles quite well. Hopefully there will be an alloy Trance 29 coming. I was hoping for an alloy Anthem, but since the Anthem is composite only I'm sticking with the Trance 29 as my endurance rig for a bit longer. Might just have to save up and buy a composite frame. Certainly would love to have one, but I feel more comfortable investing in components that I can take forward to new frames than on frames. Perhaps the new era of geometry is here though, and changes to frames will not be as stark as they have been over the last few years.

I love the look of this new bike, especially the top end one with the Fox Factory bits and the Zipp wheels. What is tempering my enthusiasm is Live Valve and the lack of a high end alloy model like my Old Trance 29 1.

Strange as the US almost always gets things before Canada.
Also, the 2022 Pro 0 looks like a Victorian Porcelain sink or something to me?

Why is the US website not updated ???
The new Giant Trance X 27.5 (160mm/145mm) is now the slackest bike Giant offers, nearly a full degree slacker than the Reign SX 29.

This bike is going to sell like hotcakes!

I wonder when this new Trance show up in bike shops?
giant shows to have large frames in stock. sick paint job. comes with a float X factory for $3300. ZERO press. why is thing still in stock?! if the headtube was 10mm shorter id cancel my top fuel order.
I imagine Giant needs to clear out all of the frames with old geometry before giving this new edition a proper launch.

any of these out in the wild?
I just got my frame but haven't built it yet, waiting on RideWrap or Invisiframe to make a kit for it yet but so far I'm really happy with the paint job, it looks way better in person.

nice! hi quality paint and good attention to detail.

is that 3100g without a seatpost?
Yeah, no seatpost. Float X is right around 460gr so that would make the frame around 2650gr. Seems that every frame that gets the storage treatment gains a little weight. I just weighted my Trance X Advanced frame with a Bomber CR with EXT spring and that's 3160gr
