Seems like live valve is holding the bike back, wish they had a review of one without live valve.
I have a Trance 29 and a Trance X 29. I enjoy the steeper seat tube on the X, and would like the same on the Trance. The X climbs really well IMO, but the X is too big to use for endurance events and racing, but the Trance is good. IMO 140 fork would take the Trance into territory that the X handles quite well. Hopefully there will be an alloy Trance 29 coming. I was hoping for an alloy Anthem, but since the Anthem is composite only I'm sticking with the Trance 29 as my endurance rig for a bit longer. Might just have to save up and buy a composite frame. Certainly would love to have one, but I feel more comfortable investing in components that I can take forward to new frames than on frames. Perhaps the new era of geometry is here though, and changes to frames will not be as stark as they have been over the last few years.Burly as it is, IMO it's not worth the upgrade, this bike should be 130/140.
I guess my 29 Trance will be fine for another few years.
