Ok thanks. More fundamentally I didn't understand that the damper rod is connected to the top/reservoir end on many air shocks.It’s more like a dpx2 or Rockshox monarch plus, compression flow is up the centre of the shaft, then on rebound the oil in the rebound chamber goes through the outer channel in to the eyelet, through the adjuster and then back out the centre tube
