Noticed a nice gouge a month ago and shrugged it off as a minor battle scar. It's not really noticeable unless magnified, however I'm curious as to if It needs attention.
Thoughts?
Great.
No real comparison for me as it's the first real 29er I've owned/ridden, but It seems fast on the flat and up, and composed in the rough and steep down.
FIll it up with some epoxy/resin to avoid goo and moisture sticking there, and also to stop any cracks from forming in the future? Have done so on several spots on my '17.
Send it, if you see it crack then start to think about ordering a crash replacement rear triangle. I rode a cracked seat stay on my Evo for 9 months even though I had the replacement sitting on my bench.
