Hello,

I have a new 2022 Fox 34 SC Factory Fit4 fork, fitted with the 3-position remote lockout. I would rather have the manual 3-position lever instead. I have two questions:

1. Would this be a straightforward switch of one external lever mechanism for another that would not involve the actual internal damper cartridge?

2. If it is a simple swap, is there anybody out there with a 2022 34 Factory Fit4 fork with the manual lever who would like to swap? My unused remote kit comes complete with remote, handlebar clamp, cables, and housing.

You can just swap the lever in place of the remote, but the remote top cap doesn’t have the detents required to make the lever “click”. To do it properly you need to swap the entire top cap assembly, which is $$$.

• For user's with a 2022 model fork or shock who are looking to remove the remote adjustment (ie, convert to 'crown adjust'), both the fork and shock would require major changes. The fork requires a non-remote specific damper (not just top-cap). The shock requires several internal parts, not just those visible at the adjuster eyelet area!
