Curious what lights everyone picked up (or wish they had) in the 2021's Black Friday sales

What I bought:
1) Magicshine RN3000. Even though I was more curious about the Ray2600 there are already a couple of members that own that light that we can question + I was able to get the RN for a much better deal ($26 cheaper even though the Ray has a lower retail price).

2) Blackburn Dayblazer 1500. Hopefully I'll be able to tell you that this light is a massive improvement over the 1100 version it's replacing.

3) Gloworm XS adventure (G2). This is the one I bought for myself (not just a test light). Since Gloworm and Outbound are what I consider my 2 "go to" brands for quality/performance bike lights and I've not seen much owner feedback on the new G2 Gloworm's this was an easy to justify purchase.

I kind of wish I'd have picked up a MS Ray2600 too but these (along with the Astrolux BL03 I ordered "pre-Black Friday") should keep busy (and motivated to ride my bike) for quite a while!

I'm a good example of why one should always wait for Black Friday. I got a Magicshine MJ-900s for the helmet and Ray 2600 for the bars during the seemingly excellent Halloween sale. It turns out I could have saved almost $20 if I'd waited till BF. Hardly enough to break the bank, but a good reminder the next time I'm tempted.

Actual BF purchases were the Astrolux BL03 (for my old grocery-getter road bike, replacing the Niterider 850 that lives on the bars) and the Olight RN 3500 deal - which I absolutely don't need, but will probably end up replacing my now redundant 900s - which will get passed on to my wife.

Hopefully that's enough lights for a good while.

I’m not going to get into what I just paid for my new wheelset. Or maybe I should to make you feel much better about the $20 😝

Gloworm Alpha RF. Very happy with it. New packaging is kinda slick, though I miss the zipper case that came previously (I have another alpha and a X1). Still think the X1 has the best road beam.

I'm a good example of why you shouldn't wait if you see a good price and want to ride at night. Got a Niterider 1100 w/tail light for $55 well before black friday. Now it's $25 more and I would've missed several group night rides and a lot of fun.

My only BF purchase wasn't even bike related.

My Black Friday purchase was the Outbound Lighting Trail Evo. Lights are Addictive. I didn’t need a light and i am not actively night riding (too cold) but wanted to take advantage of a sale as the reason to sped the money. Just told myself … “ I saved $x on the purchase and that savings made the other lights I bought a week earlier also on sale (- Bontrager Ion RT, Flare RT, Ceco F1200 and Ceco T100 -) even cheaper.” Then I realized I sounded just like my wife and laughed at myself.

Looking forward to getting it.

After being introduced to night riding from a friend and borrowing good lighting, I finally picked up my own Outbound Trail Evo that I'd been planning on getting. And then impulse bought an Olight RN3500 since the price was too good for a helmet light and knew I needed a strong backup too.

I just received my ray 2600. it’s currently charging so I can’t say anything about it other than the packaging; the light itself feels nice and compact. Same quality feel and craftsmanship to the other RN I have. Not much bigger than the RN1500. Not quite double.

what I’m a little bothered about is that they didn’t ship the helmet mount which was supposed to be a free gift during the sale. I had plans on testing the 1500 on my helmet. Anyone else get their free mount?

Vancbiker lowpro Gopro adapter makes an elegant solution for lowest possible helmet mounting of MS Monteer lights. Less bling options are available from Outbound, Lezyne, or Light & Motion. I lined up the mounting holes with the stock MS Gopro adapter on my 8000 to the 3500 and as you can see the MS mount is quite tall.

that is a nice low profile mount for the monteer lights. Heck that was what held me back from buying the 3500 for the helmet because it stood up to proud for my taste so I stuck with the Hangover. But it would be nice to have options.

I assume that the Vancbiker mount will also work on the Olight equivalent lights as well, right?

The BF Deal on the Olight 3500 was too good to pass up! Now I need a mount like that. Looks sick! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

Olight 3500 is going to be back on sale at BF pricing for the next 5 days, I might get one and keep it as a helmet light this time around. I don't like having to cycle max>flash>eco mode but for the price, there is nothing out there that could beat its brightness and runtime.

My Evo showed up this evening. It is heavier than I expected and at first I was a little disappointed when shining it around in the room against other light I have. That was my bad for sure because it was a huge difference in the Evos favor when I put it on the bike and compared it to other lights in the backyard. Much better. Lol. I was also pleasantly surprised that it had 2 flash modes (daytime and a nightime). Too bad the hangover didn’t have the same 2 flash modes.
