I could use some help please. I bought a new old stock 2016 Scalpel on EBay and I have some questions. I appreciate your time and advice.

1) it didn’t come with a rear shock. I know the specs on the shock. Do I need some sort of kit to install? (It did come with bolts, unsure if I need some kind of sleeve).

2) I know about the AI rear offset, do I need an offset chainring?

I appreciate your help!

No problem! It is actually pretty easy to re-dish an Ai wheel to centered 142mm, or the opposite. FWIW, I raced the 2012-16 Scalpels and found the geometry of the Scaplel Si to be a big improvement. The current Scape Si should be pretty easy to find at a good price when the 2020-21 Scalpel is released.
