four pinch bolt lowers were the best they ever made. Most secure, and lightest, too.
What, you don't have a Kuat rack yet? ;-)

"half-pound weight savings over its predecessor" - eliminating the QR, a bit of machining here and there, more plastic components [I was going to say "less oil", but they barely have any to begin with] could shave 227g.

Let's wait and see. After my last experience with a problematic and terrible performing 2013 Float they need to offer a fantastic fork for a competitive price to steer me away from a Pike or a revamped Lyrik with the charger damper (when it will be available).

As long a fork uses some decent pinch bolts on the lowers like the one pictured, you could have always done that. Those spacers look like they're notched to line up on the fork but you can easily pay someone with a lathe to make you spacers.
