I have a 2014 Xcaliber 8 ,29er. Looking to go to 27.5. Was wondering what are my best options. Not looking for carbon , cant spend that kind of money for carbon. I demoed couple diffrent bikes with 27.5 they felt more nimble and easier to ride for me. Any ideas as to where i can get TLR wheels and not break the bank.

I don't think you'll appreciate hitting your pedals on every little bump, rock or stick in the trail. What you are trying to do is FAR from a good idea.

27.5" wheels on that frame would lower your BB a fair bit causing more pedal strikes and a high chance to hit your BB on obstacles. I would advise against it. Newer frames can but only with increased fork travel and plus sized tires to raise the BB.

Also, 27.5" wheels would essentially slow your bike down being that it is for XC.

Well, OK sounds like instead of upgrading my current bike I need to upgrade to newer bike or stick with 29 wheels to go tubeless?
