Hi there, just picked up a used Sensor and i know its a 34.9 seatpost but do you have to use a shim for a rockshox reverb dropper post ? I dont see any mfg's out there making a 34.9 dropper post ? Or am i wrong ?
34.9 is the diameter of the outer edge of your seat tube I believe. Your seatpost CLAMP is 34.9, your seatpost is likely 31.6, which would be the inside diameter of your seat tube.. I don't own a sensor but my zaskar is this way.
The MY14 Sensor & Force both use a 34.9mm post (38.1mm clamp). Droppers are available from RockShox and KS in this size (and are used oem on higher end models). If you can't find one you can use a 31.6mm post and shim it. Shims are available thru QBP that will go 34.9>31.6.
QBP actually doesn't carry shims this big. USE make them and they are very nice anodized aluminum. Looks lke Chainr Reaction stocks them. USE Aluminium Shim | Chain Reaction Cycles
