Hello,

My wife ordered a 2014 Giant Lust Advanced 2 in Size Small back in December. Since then Giant has pushed the date for when this backordered bike would arrive in the US from Jan to March to now July or so.

I'm not going to point the finger at how Giant seriously underestimated the demand for the Lust Advanced frames but damn my wife is a raging Female right now about how her bike is never going to show up. :madmax:

If anyone knows of any bike shops out there that have this particular bike please let me know. I've called at least a dozen that normally have lots of Giant inventory but now I need to know if the smaller shops have it. Of course they will not ship it but there is always a way to make these things happen.

She purchased a Scott Contessa Scale 700 RC bike at a decent price.

Giant USA, if you read this, you really dropped the ball in getting the Lust Advanced to dealers after that initial order back in the fall of 2013. The initial stock (low) sold out quickly.

I'm sure she'll be happy with the Scott but as a Giant rider for 14 years I was really hoping they were prepared to get this new bike out to women riders as I know how great they ride and the price is right where it should be.

I know of a fiancee of a LBS manager who couldn't get her Giant Lust. they just aren't out there. They are dealing with a worldwide demand for a bike/wheelsize that many think is flash in the pan.

I'm guessing that Giant is making money hand over fist right now.

Not on the lust advanced model they aren't. You can't make money on a model that isn't in stores.
