Descend. After setting the pressure in the rear shock, make sure to open the drcv by forcing the bike through it's travel at least 50%. My pressures would never be correct until I opened the drcv.

Yeah, the drcv gave me some headaches setting mine, as I'd think it was fine, and then I'd ride it and it would open and would then be too soft. I just hop on it and jump on the shock a bit to open the valve and then recheck it all.

On the DRCV - don't forget to tighten air pump until pressure shows, then turn additional 1/4 to 1/2 to open DRCV to read.
Trek website has good starting info, but threads indicate that these suggested pressures are a little high for most riders. - many posts
