I just went for my first ride on my 2014 Epic Expert World Cup.

Love the goemetry and the 1x11 drivetrain. Actually love everything about it except one show-stopper. All the epics' that I've owned in the past with the brain shock and fork worked so well. On this bike, regardless of set up, they are just progressive shocks without any blow off. Stand up and pedal and you feel like you are on an all-mountain bike. This is the only feature that kept me buying an Epic.

Am I completely out to lunch or has anyone else noticed this?

PS - I also sent my fork from a 2010 Epic in for rebuild at the factory as my shop couldn't make the Brain work. It was sent back with a plush linear style suspension? Consistent with my new bike.

Thanks for any advice.

That doesn't sound right. Sounds like you need somebody with Brain experience to help you set up the bike or something is broken.
