Probably should have posted this here first, rather than in the 29er forum! Sorry admins.

I am looking to get back into riding and update from my old rockadile SX (yep 1997 vintage).

I have found a custom built hard tail based on the 2012 specialised carve pro frame for 1450 dollars (Australian) and am wondering if its a good deal and what all the components are like.

1450 Aus dollars is about $1345 US, 970 Euro or 796 pounds.

From the add:
Frame Specialized Carve Pro Alloy frame (SIZE L -17.5cm)
- Gear shifters; - Shimano XT - 10 spd
- Rear Derailleur - Shimano XT - 10 spd
- Front Derailleur - Shimano XT - 3 spd
- Cassette - Shimano XT - 10spd
- Disc Brakes; -Hayes EL Camino and Rotors (Front 180mm - Rear 160mm)
- Fork - Rockshox REBA TK Lockout 80mm
- Cranks - Shimano SLX 175mm.
- Wheels - Bontrager AT-850 front 15mm
- Tyres - Bontrager ZR1 Expert 29 x 2.20
- Bar - Venzo Riser
- Seat Post - Riggley
- Seat - Vader
- Stem - ITM
- Pedals LP Black or Candy C

I'm 182cm tall and my rockadile is a 17.5in frame. I have heard the el camino brakes are a bit dodgy but I could replace them in the future.

Add says the bike has never been ridden but I'm assuming that the frame warranty wouldn't apply to me.

Any thoughts?
