Hi,

I'm putting together a spec for a new Intense SS2.

I built up a nice Tracer VP already a couple of years back around April 2009, and almost as the last nuts were tightened the 2010 models were upon us (got a 2009 Talas 26)......in hindsight not the best timing.

I see the Sea Otter Classic is coming up soon, and Fox launched a load of new shocks then.
I don't really want to pull the trigger on this new build, only to have "last years model" in a couple of weeks time. I know,

So does anyone have any thought on when the 2012 models will be available?
I'm looking at a Marzocchi 66 or a Float 36 180 mainly.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Phil.

I wouldn't worry about it. Fox forks are evolutionary, and generally you only get incremental improvements in performance year to year. An eight year old Fox fork (maintained properly) still performs well today. If you're worried about it, send whatever you get off to Push for a custom tune, and it'll perform better than anything off the shelf.

I do live in Canada. I don't even bother asking for a quote from any canadian retailer. I just buy from usa online. Have it shipped to a package handling place or hotel if on business trip and bring it back. For the 30 or 40 pct price difference I'm willing to for go any warranty. It would be interesting to see what the canadian distributor price book is for fox forks fo 2012. Cinsidering the cdn dollar has been over par for the past 6 months.

I don't see how it can be justified that the price disparity is due to currency.

It's nuts.............heck Race Face is in N.West and they were sometimes cheaper online than the local stores.

I placed a pre-order for a 2012 Float 36 RC2 thru a shop on May 5th, and they are expecting the fork tomorrow. So pre-orders at least are shipping now.
