:D Hello from the folks at G.E.A.R.S. :D

We will be hosting work days at the Greenbush trail system on the following dates. Trail work will consist of a new connector trail between loops 3 and 4 to eliminate two way traffic. Once the connector is completed work will continue to finish loop 4. Other trail work will consist of general spring cleanup to all of the loops as needed including the removal of any down tree's. A bike wash station is also in the works. We may schedule this for a day that weather conditions are not favorable for trail building.

We will meet at the main parking lot at Greenbush, lower lot, at the pole building, for all of our work days. We'll load up tools and depart shortly after in a small number of vehicles, or by foot or bike depending on the location of the work site.

March 26th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

April 2nd from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

April 9th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

April 16th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm - This date will have two work sessions. The first session will run from 8:00 am - 11:00 am. By 11:30 am someone will be at the main parking lot to gather anyone for the second session which will then run from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

April 23rd from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

May 7th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm - This date will have two work sessions. The first session will run from 8:00 am - 11:00 am. By 11:30 am someone will be at the main parking lot to gather anyone for the second session which will then run from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

Hope to see you there and feel free to post any questions.

Trail Builders and MTB'rs Unite!

:D Opening Day of the 2011 Trail Building Season at Greenbush in the Norther Kettles will commence this Saturday, March 26th.:D

8:00 am - 12:00 pm or longer if we've got a motivated crew.

On the card is the New Loop 3 to 4 Connector Trail.

:eekster: Special Appearance by Uncle Gomez and the Blue Bellied Salamanders :eekster:

 Trail Munchies provided by Clif Bar

We will meet at the main parking lot at Greenbush, lower lot, at the pole building, We'll load up tools and depart at 8:00am sharp in a small number of vehicles and proceed to a forest service road. From there we'll have about a ten minute hike to the work site. Don't be late or you'll miss the caravan. Worst case give me a jingle at 920-627-0508 and I'll try to direct you to the work site although cell signal is rather spotty in the forest so I can't promise anything.

Stick around and make a weekend out of it. Bon Fire at my place Saturday night. Directions provided upon request. Group Beach Ride,

Trail Work Still On

Hey Everyone,

After Mother Nature's last little fit you may be wondering the status of our first work day. IT'S ON! We won't be doing any trail building but will be working on clearing the multiple trees that are down on Loop 4. They'll need to be removed sooner or later so it might as well be sooner. We could still use your help.

Thanks,

Randy

Quite a hearty group came out on a crisp clear 15 degree morning to volunteer at the GEARS trailbuilding day last Saturday. We broke into two teams and worked our way, all the way around loop 4. The group also checked out the new connector trail that will get benched in the next few weeks, to enable loop #4 to be added to the 12 hour race course, later this year. Why not come on out and lend a hand to these good folks and the excellent new singletrack up at the Northern Kettles! You'll be glad you did!

Greenbush, April 9th

Hello Everyone,

Trail building continues Saturday at Greenbush @ 8:00am. Meet at the main lot or if you're familiar with our access location you can meet us on Forest Road about 8:15. With a good size crew we should have a great shot at finishing the Loop 3/4 Connector. Trails will be dry soon so lets be ready for some riding! Hope to see you there.
