Can someone tell me are you able to run a different rear shock or is the mount specific to the frame/shock. Could you run a DHX Air. Also, what is the max lenght for the fork. Thanks

If you are after a air shock then go for SX or 2010Enduro!!! They feel really alike but shorter travel
SXT should go with 170mm travel forks, its no point to go longer travel coz its a FR bike, longer travel will mess up the geometry making the bike unbalance and give lesser control

BTW you can run air shock but just u got to find the exact same e2e and stroke length shock which they might not avilable aftermarket(not too sure gotta check with fox)

I just wasn't sure how the new linkage attaches to the shock. Many times Specialized has shocks just made for them (mainly stroke difference). You just can't tell by the way that "Y" piece surrounds the shaft.

that is just another linkage where it links to normal shock ending, normal shock will fit onto it
