:cornut: Alright, about to pull the trigger. Here is my list:

2010 Stumpy FSR Expert
Upgrades: Industry Nine ALL Mountain wheel set, XT cranks,XT cassette, carbon bar, tubeless, Cane Creek headset, Ergon grips, XT pedals. Any recommendations? Budget is 5k, the wheels alone are 1,000. I have no interest in a carbon frame cause I am 200lbs. Anyways thanks for all the help, spending this kind of $$$ is a lot easier getting tips outside the pressured environment of the LBS. Cheers!

All you need to do is buy a $10 alloy granny gear for the "custom" (xt 760) cranks that the bike comes with and you will have cranks that are actually a few grams lighter than the new xt cranks.

And buy 540 pedals instead of xt - its virtually the same pedal and the same weight for much less money. Put the difference toward an xtr cassette.

You may want to consider for your list is a Specialized command post. there is a thread on them in this forum. I really like mine. The frame even has some special attachment points just for this purpose.

I have had mine since Nov 5th and amreally enjoying it. BTW, mine is mostly stock.

I'll be ordering my Expert in March. I have no plans to keep any of the stock components. I just want to frame. However, all the components that come on the bike(minus the rear derailleur) will be used to build up my Foes XC Prolite hard tail.

My component choice will consist of King hubs handbuilt to a set of Stans Flow or Velocity P35's. King bb with FSA or Race Face carbon cranks. Louise Bat Carbon's. Syntace Vector carbon bar. XO gripshift. Travel adj. post. WTB Deva(not just for girls mind you). XTR cassette. Larsen TT/Ardent tire combo.

It should be fun. But I'm off my bike for 6 months with a blown knee. The 2 Stumpjumper Experts hanging over my repair stand at work are really getting to me.
