2010 Session 88 DH Changes?

2639 Views 10 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  droptopchevy
So I am looking to get a Session 88 DH soon, and I was wondering if anyone knew if Trek would be making any changes for 2010 (Boxxer WC fork would be nice) Anyway, I doubt there will be any changes but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything as to weather or not there would be any changes. If not I will soon be pulling the trigger and getting the bike.

Thanks!

Thicker tubing I think.
what makes you "think" so?
I have a co-worker (Trek shop) who put a moderate dent in his 09 Session, I simply heard him make that comment. No official word as I didn't hear it direct from our rep.

I 'think' both the session, remedy and EX will have thicker tubing all in moderation of course, thinner tubing is lighter but when it is easily dinted:nono:
I have all of above mentioned frames - non of them got easily dented so far - riding Megavalanche and other alpine tracks. The only dent I got so far is on the left chain stay of the Remedy, after it crashed on a big solid rock. No complaints whatsoever...
I dented my Session 88 severely on the first ride and my friend actually punctured his DT. Neither bikes were crashed, both riders were on the same trail that we have ridden hundreds of times on many different bikes and never had this issue...I also had my shock reservoir hit the top of the DT and the evo link dented my seattube from a case on a really big double. I have cased many doubles before. I am not hard on my stuff, I have never even blown up a wheel. I have never broken anything on my DH bikes in 8 years. I destroyed my 88 in less than one season and only rode it 30 or 40 times. I love the bike, it performs to my liking. It is extremely light, sexy and rides like a dream from the moment you throw a leg over...but it dented and dented and dented, all under normal use.
